Always leave it cleaner than you found it!

I do put TP in my cat holes, and I've got enough experience returning to places to know it is usually not a problem. The exception is in very popular spots where some sort of critter has gotten a habit. The evidence is obvious. Rocks and sticks are a good alternative to toilet paper. I no longer carry tp with me when I hike.

you know this thread was made a sticky for those who have never done boondocking and didn't know the proper etiquette. I think that if someone has a valuable tip it would be great for them to post that tip, but some of this stuff needs it own thread or the trash can. highdesertranger
