Emergency Alert Ehrenberg???
#1
So, I’m in Ehrenberg down East Frontage Road. Just received an emergency alert on my phone to be aware of possible fire danger due to high winds. Did anyone else get this and are you concerned? I mean, pretty much surrounded by sand here. Idk.

I am not down there. I checked Intellicast  and Blythe and Parker both have elevated fire index readings. The area where CRVL hangs out is clear.

The alert was probably for Blythe right across the river.

Just don't do a burning van thing.

I got it too last night.

Made me sit up and take notice... Big Grin

Then I checked the weather reports on my phone and, well, I went back to reading!

Sometimes them weather forecasters get a little excited and push the panic button!!

After the family of 10 was killed close to Payson last summer, the "alerts" were frequent afterward.

Might be a good reminder for folks to think twice before starting a bonfire.

Ha, it's been windy enough  here for at least 3 days now that people have trouble lighting cigarettes, let alone a campfire... Big Grin
