Drug sniffing dogs are being used at internal border checkpoints, up to 100 miles from any border.

It is likely additional enforcement actions are being considered, drug sniffing dogs with Interior or Ag Law Enforcement Officers strikes me as quite possible.

You can try and stick it in coffee grounds. But possibly they have dogs that can sniff it out.....

I'd carry as little as possible, or if you have a good "Friend" send it ahead to them for your imminent arrival...Smile

Given the "asset forfeiture" laws, I'd not wanna give the coppers an excuse to leave me sitting on the side of the road with just the shirt on my back while they tow my confiscated home away......

So I think I've asked but don't think I got a straight answer.

Is there a boarder patrol check point from phoenix to quartzite?? I don't recall one, but that doesn't mean anything.. memory you know.

lets put it this way, best to just not have in your vehicle if your any where near these area's. I don't agree with it but I personally do everything I can to prevent LE from having any reason for stopping or checking me out. Reg current and lights working and tread on the tires.

I have been told the LEO's have over 400 possible reasons to pull someone over.

No, but I believe Phoenix is within the 100 mile buffer.  That buffer also applies to coastal cities, though they don't have checkpoints with drug dogs.

Here's the list:

Used to be not a big deal back in the day, crossed the mex/us border with hash on the Dash. Now it's all in the spotlight. I was expecting this. Just have not used in 30-35 years. (Got my natural high going)

Makes you wonder if the agents stand down-wind of the evidence as they burn it.

Just drove from socal to the Arkansas Ozarks and back. Thought about taking my Kurvana Kpen, medical mj patient here, but after looking over the laws for the states I passed through at the NORML site, decided against it. Turns out in the other states, it is considered a concentrate which is a huge increase in jail time, also a felony, and big fines. Just can't take the chance on being stopped by the wrong leo.
