What is the chance that some free boondock site has ten gallons of water per week? If you need to buy it may cost $0.50 per gallon so $5 a week or $20 a month.

Wondering if the various folks who advertise single night boondock would allow ten gallons out of the garden hose. And if they would allow repeating that weekly for a month.

Frankly surprised there is not more discussion about getting clean safe water to drink.

It would be up to you to get that clear before you use someones free site? Here is Bob's youtube video talking about places to get water.

we find water is one of the easiest things to get our hands on actually. The above vid by Bob is a good one. Ask for some water and someone will let you use their spigots Smile

a boondock site advertised from a person that you can use. I would ask if water is available and I would think if it is near that site they would invite you to use what you require. 10 gallons of water is not a lot.
Boondocking by nature means no services.

Excellent. Bob indicates water at about 20-25 cents/gal at vending machines found via this site. 4 places in Quartzsite alone.

I'm curious how much water other people use. I know I use A LOT less than most, but I don't know how much less.
My 2 dogs, the cat and I use about 10 gallons a week. More in the summer cuz we drink more and I bathe more. Sponge bath (about ½ gal) in winter and shower with a 1 gallon garden sprayer in the summer. Also use more in the summer cuz my dog Sam Houston likes to hunt skunks and gets baths!

I have a 35 gallon fresh water tank. It usually lasts me over two weeks (have pushed to 3) with 3 showers a week and I have a 1/3 of a tank left. My real limitation is my 12 gallon black water tank.
I think about 20 gallons a day for both of us. The majority is washing dishes.

Every time I ask for black water, everyone is willing to give it to me.
