Brown them well in butter, put them on a plate, then lay a slice of cheese over them while they are still hot so it melts.

or ... mush them up well in a skillet, add cooked rice, pepper, garlic powder (no salt needed!), makes a sort of "dirty rice". I guess (sorry) you could probably also add a beaten egg to this.

My fave canned meat is sardines and is one of the perfect foods.

But if you must have pork, choose spam. Diced spam, diced onion, diced potato fried together till the potato is cooked. Top with a fried egg. Really quite yummy and filling.  -crofter

You can keep the fish but the Spam (lite - a little less fat and salt)and the single slice foil pack works great- no refer - serves two
