Give yourself the proper time to have a shower.

Truck stop showers are pretty nice. Clean and big . Room to dress. Pay your 10 bucks or what ever and you are in a nice private shower room .

to me 10 bucks for a shower is a little outrageous. don't get me wrong I have done it plenty of times. but in my trailer I will have a shower. highdesertranger

Yes it is. He has little choice in his case. When they started getting 12 is when I bought 24 water bottles 1.99 @ dollar general . Put 6 on dash to hest up. Stood inside truck door and took water bottle shower. That's a good shower for a short haired guy. That would work with a low top van or car . From what I learned here i would put on a vinyl poncho.

If you have barn doors, just open them halfway and drap a tarp across and down the outside. Outside shower stall built in but I would move the van a few feet so you are not walking on wet ground when you are finished. Backdoors work great for this. Hold the doors apart with a stick and trap the stick by using a bungee cord to hold the doors together, both at the top. This would work for a 4 door vehicle too.

You could still do the Y and go shower the night before each day and then just shave and do your hair before the meetings.

Are showers at the Y free?

I like the fishing idea - even if you don't go fishing you can say you did so please excuse the "fishy" sent.

Get an "Iron Hammer" self contained portable shower head. Then make a portable water heater using a Home Depot 5 gallon plastic bucket, EPDM 1" bulkhead, and 12v 300W heating element off ebay (standard water heater dimensions). Use jumper cables from car to heating element to heat up 2-3 gallons of water in 30 minutes WHILE your car is idling. Take the hot water and Iron Hammer portable shower head somewhere discrete and have a nice hot shower.
