Introduction - PFMAGIC - 05-22-2020

I am new to this sight and look forward to meeting some of you later this year. Having lived on a sailboat for 18 years, I am accustomed to less in the way of possessions and more in new friends. I hope to discover a return to a more nomadic life.

Welcome to the CRVL forums PFMagic! Living on a sailboat for 18 years is definitely a plus. You'll have no problem living in the small space of a van or RV!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the CRVL Forums   Smile

Yes,  you'll be able to meet a lot of new people once on the road.   I live on a good size river with a few marinas where a lot of people purchase house boats to live on as a summer home.  Few of them last "the marina lifestyle" more than four years.   I guess the limit of being around the same people all the time gets old for them.   And few of them can afford to battle the current of the river in those gas guzzlers to journey up to the Dam and then float back to dock more than the three holiday weekends of the summer.  (it's a 50 mile all day trip that starts at dawn and ends at twilight)  Not to mention it's always the same scenery.

Traveling in the Van has much more to offer over time.

Welcome PF, hopefully the nomadic life will give you as much adventure as the sailboat did!
