Hey Bob, I just hit the proverbial "motherlode". This is a pdf map of the entire State of AZ. land ownership. You can zoom in and out on every land parcel and see who owns the property. It takes a little while to load,enjoy.    http://www.land.state.az.us/images/maps/stateimage.pdf

You can find out any info you want about a piece of land using GIS sites for that state. Its google earth based and you just click on the property or type in an address, BAM....evertyhing from who owns it to what its worth and the taxes. And you can print,.....for free. Below is a link for NC's GIS site. I used it primarly for hunting and camping. Hope I helped.

i used the same service to view property i bought in NM.  i found that the property lines they show are not survey accurate so something to keep in mind. it was certainly handy to view ownership, check proximity of reservation land etc etc. pretty cool.
